We built a set of full-size coffin props for a theatrical promotion. Each coffin was constructed from corrugated board with foamex reinforcement at the edges and hinges, giving a solid appearance while keeping the weight manageable for stage hands. Bold typographic graphics were printed directly onto the surfaces using UV inks. The coffins were designed to open and close repeatedly without damage, and were finished with a protective laminate to withstand handling over a multi-week run.
